Aussie confidence borders on arrogance

Consistent success is not an accident, nor is it a result of positive thinking alone. Careful thought and meticulous preparation goes into Australia's cricket which shows up, reports Amrit Mathur.

Expert predictions announced the track would crack and spin like crazy --even the Aussies thought so. This did not happen and chastened experts are currently in silent mode, suffering from audio failure.

But, as Indians collectively weep and wail, the question remains: Why does Australia win more often than other teams? Talent, obviously, is a major factor but the team succeeds because it is programmed to win, failure is deleted from the hard disk, erased from memory.
