Check why actresses don't like to discuss their marriage plans.india Updated: May 03, 2006 13:13 IST
Marriage seems to be the last priority for Bollywood actresses. That's the reason many actresses don't like to be asked abouttheir marriage plans.
For many even love means distraction. The Bollywood has become so much career-centric that every actress postpones marriage for the day she fails to click in the industry.
Says Khallas girl Koena Mitra, "I don't have any plan right now about my marriage. Neither I am seeing someone nor I have thought to get married with someone. My all concentration is there at my work. I don't want to get distracted from all these thoughts of marriage and romance. I have decided that when I fail to make any mark in the film industry, I will opt out of it and get married. After that I will say goodbye to the industry forever. But that time has not come yet."Another young girl, Amrita Rao too feels that talking about marriage is too early in a place like Bollywood. "Those who are raring to rise in any field, marriage becomes secondary. The first priority is to prove oneself in a competitive world. And that's what I am doing. Instead of wasting my time planning for my marriage, I will rather plan something on my career front. I don't want to get distracted by any thought of marriage at all. At the moment my career is more important than anything else."
Leave alone the new ones, even those who have spent some time in the industry feel marriage can be the last thing on anyone's mind who joins the film industry. Amisha Patel, who is under close media scrutiny for her association with Bikram Bhat, doesn't like to be asked about marriage plans. "Though I don't want to talk about my personal relations in public, yet as far as my marriage is concerned, it's not on my priority list."
