Bail denied to man accused of violence at Maruti plant

A clash between the workers and the company management on July 18 had claimed a senior HR manager's life and injured more than 100.
Kumar, 25, is one of the 300 workers who got joining letters after the plant resumed partial productions on August 21. He has been lodged in Bhondsi jail.
He had sought bail arguing that the management's joining letter was itself a clean chit for him. The court of additional district and session judge, HS Dahiya, denied him bail after the prosecution said that the investigation was still on and a challan was yet to be filed against him. The court had earlier allowed Kumar to appear in an examination at Delhi's Karol Bagh for a post at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. A police team accompanied him to the examination centre.
The court also allowed another accused, Baljinder Singh, to appear in an engineering entrance test.
