Arjun Hari Nair was killed when a taxi hit him and the driver who caused the mishap fled the scene without admitting the injured to a hospital or informing the police.

Police used GPRS technology to locate the vehicle involved in the hit and run and traced the driver Dasharath Singh (49) to Nagarabhavi locality, City Police Commissioner Jyoti Prakash Mirji told reporters on Saturday.

Cautioning that those involved in such mishaps cannot escape the law, he said they should take the injured to the nearby hospital and inform police.
