Bank offers Rs 5-cr loans to women

AASTHA MAHILA Nagrik Bank president Arti Bisaria announced the cooperative bank had earmarked Rs 5 crore for disbursement as loans to women to start their own businesses and other ventures.

AASTHA MAHILA Nagrik Bank president Arti Bisaria announced the cooperative bank had earmarked Rs 5 crore for disbursement as loans to women to start their own businesses and other ventures.

According to a release, on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, Aastha Mahila Nagrik Bank announced that women in the handloom and handicrafts industry could apply for loans at the bank for setting up their own business.

Bank officers would themselves complete the other formalities of the loan by meeting the applicants personally at their respective residences.

State Minister and Chairman of MP Handicraft Development Board Ramakant Tiwari presented a memento to the bank as a token of appreciation for its initiative.
