Bar association opposes high court decision, goes on six-day strike

Members of the local Bar Association went on six-day strike in protest against the decision of the high court on Monday.

Members of the local Bar Association went on six-day strike in protest against the decision of the high court on Monday.

President of the association Ashok Tanwar said the decision to go on strike was taken in a an emergent meeting in which it was resolved and demanded unanimously that the high court authorities should immediately withdraw its decision to hold circuit courts at sub-divisional level.

Tanwar said the members resolved that they would intensify the agitation if the authorities did not withdraw the decision of holding circuit courts at Arki and Kasauli.
