A court on Monday remanded Gaganjit Singh Barnala, son of Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala, to judicial custody till August 28 in an alleged rape case.

Judicial Magistrate Atul Marya pronounced the order remanding Barnala, a sitting Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) legislator, to 14 days judicial custody in a jam-packed courtroom.
