Beenamol adds to Indian medal tally; wins silver

India's K M Beenamol won the silver medal in the women's 400m of the Asian Games here today in a time of 52.04 seconds.

India's K M Beenamol won the silver medal in the women's 400m of the Asian Games on Thursday in a time of 52.04 seconds.

The gold was won by Damayanthi Darsha of Sri Lanka in a new Games record of 51.13 seconds while the bronze went to Svetlana Bobritskaya of Kazakhstan who clocked 52.10 seconds.

This is Beenamol's second medal in these Games. She had won the gold in the women's 800m.
