The contract has been awarded by Power Grid Company of Bangaldesh for supply and installation of a 230 kV sub-station at Baghabari Power Plant and extension of Ishurdi sub-station, a company release said.

The contract is being funded by Asian Development Bank. The engineering major has executed several contracts in the neighbouring country, including a turnkey project for a 100 MW power plant, but this would be the first order for sub-stations.

BHEL would be involved in design, supply, construction and commissioning of 230 kV substation at Baghabari and expansion of Ishurdi substation.
