Police have registered a murder case against four persons including her husband, who is a farmer.

The victim has been identified as Anju Bala, a resident of Bhiwani town.

According to details, Bala was married to Vikram Singh Thakur eight months ago. Her in-laws used to force for dowry as her sister Munni Devi, who was also married in the same house with her (Anju) brother-in-law Karmpal Singh had brought motorcycle.

The issue was discussed several times with both the families and was settled by a panchayat earlier.

The matter came to fore on Saturday morning, when neighbours after hearing the cries of the victim rushed into the house. The victim had closed herself in a room, which was later broken to save her. But it was late by then as she suffered burns on almost all over the body.

Based on the complaint of Munni Devi, police have registered a murder case against in-laws including Devi's husband.
