Bhojpuri quite popular in West Asia
?Bhojpuri the language of eastern UP is yet to get a proper place in eight scheduled of the language of the Constitution but its admirer are in Muscat and Oman?, claims Mohammad Irshad proudly. Convenor of Bhojpuri wing of Indian Social Club of Muscat Mohammad Irshad was in town on Tuesday. He originally belongs to Laxmipur village of Maharajganj district and had gone to Muscat in search of a job and now he had taken up the challenge of promoting Bhojpuri in Muscat.

Convenor of Bhojpuri wing of Indian Social Club of Muscat Mohammad Irshad was in town on Tuesday. He originally belongs to Laxmipur village of Maharajganj district and had gone to Muscat in search of a job and now he had taken up the challenge of promoting Bhojpuri in Muscat.
His club had organised half a dozen programmes in Bhojpuri in different halls of Muscat.
Irshad also a good cricketer is the national coach of Oman Cricket team.
Talking to Hindustan Times, he said the Bhojpuri wing of Indian Social Club was playing a vital role in popularising Bhojpuri in this region.
He said there were around 4 lakh Indians in Oman and 10000 Bhojpuri loving people were residing there.
He even said that citizens of Oman and Muscat were trying to learn Bhojpuri. Half a dozen girls in Oman were singing Bhojpuri songs.
Irshad popularly known Naaz Nirmohi said Bhojpuri language and music was quite popular in Muscat and they have organised programmes of Indian Bhojpuri singers in Muscat. With the increasing demand, he has started composing songs in Bhojpuri. He intends to produce a Bhojpuri video film ‘Tirchi Najaria’.
