Bhopal basketball teams announced
THE BHOPAL District Basketball Association (BDBA) has announced basketball teams of Bhopal district. The teams will participate in Dr JM Sharma Memorial Basketball Championship beginning in Indore from April 21.
THE BHOPAL District Basketball Association (BDBA) has announced basketball teams of Bhopal district. The teams will participate in Dr JM Sharma Memorial Basketball Championship beginning in Indore from April 21.
According to the press release of BDBA, Prakash Anthoni will lead the boys’ team while Diksha Agnihotri has given the responsibility of the girls’ team.
Members of boys’ team include Shubham Shandilya, Arjun Verma, Rahul Sharma, Yogesh, Vishal, Soham Singh and Aditya Agnihotri. Girls’ team members include Nisha Dwivedi, Poonam Yadav, Meenal, Rakhi, Diksha Verma and Pallavi Singh.
Powerlifters leave for Asian meet
RAJESH SHUKRAWARE, Anuya Lonkar, Dilip Sharma and Madhuri Bhagwat of the City today left to participate in the Asian Powerlifting Championship to be organised in South Korea from May 1.
Taking to journalists, commandant 7th battalion SAF and sports officer Pawan Shrivastava said that MP Police were committed to provide all support to the players. Madhuri Bhagwat is platoon commander in MP Police.
Rajesh Shukraware, Anuya Lonkar and Dilip Sharma are the members of Body Temple Iron Game Association (BTIGA). BTIGA secretary Jitendra Jaisawal expected that these players would win medals for the country. “They have worked hard for the championship and I am expecting medals from them”, said Jaisawal.
