BHOPAL GIRLS continued their winning spree at the special women’s games being organised at the Tatya Tope Stadium today.

Bhopal’s Ritika Rambo beat Dhar’s Shikha Tillu (13-10, 11-9) to win the badminton’s single title. In the women’s double title Bhopal’s Neha Munge and Anjali Sen beat Dhar’s Shikha Tillu and Monica Chouhan 5-15, 15-7, 15-12.

In the double’s hardliner match Chhindwara’s Sonal and Khushboo defeated Chhatarpur’s Ayesha Khan and Pushpa Chandrakar in straight sets (15-0, 15-0).

In the judo championship Ujjain’s Bhuvneshwari Goyal beat Narsinghpur’s Shalini Jain to win the gold medal. Guna’s Lata bagged the bronze medal by defeating Bhopal’s Sonu.

In the athletic events, Bhopal’s Shweta won the 100-meter race to bag the fastest runner’s title while Bhopal’s Arjana Bhadoriya won the 400-meters race.

In the kho-kho competition being played at Government Sarojini Naidu Girls’ PG College, Indore defeated Bhopal while Jabalpur’s team defeated Dewas in the hard-liner match.

The closing ceremony and prize distribution would take place on Monday at the stadium. Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Yashodhara Raje Scindia would be the chief guest at the function.
