Biggest trade consignment sent to PoK

The biggest ever trade consignment was sent to traders of Pakistan occupied Kashmir by their counterparts from Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The biggest ever trade consignment was sent to traders of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) by their counterparts from Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"This was for the first time when such a large quantity of items were exported to PoK from Poonch on Tuesday," district officials said.

Three trucks left Poonch to reach PoK from trade facilitation centre at Rangar. Along with them, a lorry also crossed over to PoK from Chakan-da-Bagh, they said.

Two trucks carrying a 145 quintal potatoes crossed over to PoK.

While, another truck containing 600 boxes of tomatoes weighing 120 quintals reached PoK from Jammu via Poonch.

The potatoes and tomatoes were exported by a trader Bansi Lal and Sons, Poonch.

Also, 45.5 quintals rajmash were exported to PoK from Poonch.

All items from Jammu as well as from Poonch were exported to Choudhary Mohd Akbar of Datta agencies in Hajeera, PoK.
