Bihar: EC orders repoll at two booths in Saran

Repolling was held on Sunday at two booths of Sitamarhi constituency which reported a 46% voter turnout.

The Election Commission on Sunday ordered repoll at two booths in Bihar's Saran district following complaints of irregularities, election office sources said.

Repolling at booth number 66 and 128 of Marhaura assembly constituency will be held on Monday, the sources said.

Altogether 12 candidates are in the fray for the seat with the main fight between Sheopujan Prasad Rai (RJD), Jitendra Kumar Rai [JD (U)] and Chulhan Prasad Singh (CPI).

Meanwhile, repolling was held on Sunday at two booths (234 and 235) of Sitamarhi assembly constituency which reported a 46 per cent voter turnout.

Election in Sitamarhi was originally slated for November 13 but was deferred to November 16 alongwith 14 other constituencies due to security reasons.
