Members of Left parties and Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti stormed the well of the House, forcing Speaker Sadanand Singh to adjourn the Question Hour.

As the House assembled for the day, agitated Left and LJP members supported by ruling RJD MLAs started shouting anti-US slogans condemning the attack on Iraq.

They later trooped into the well waving placards requesting the chair to take up a resolution censuring the United States.

As repeated requests by the chair failed to placate them, the Speaker adjourned the House till zero hour.

When the house re-assembled, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ramchandra Purve brought a resolution strongly condemning what he described as a barbaric imperialist attack by the fascist, cruel and represssive Bush administration on Iraq without the consent of United Nations Security Council and against global opinion.

"The US terrorist attack has dealt a severe blow to freedom and sovereignty... And is aimed at usurping the oil depots of Gulf countries," the resolution said appealing for a referendum against the "barbaric attack by the US and to stop the war."
