They will urge him to dismiss Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Bihar Governor Buta Singh in the wake of the Supreme Court judgement on the dissolution of Bihar Assembly.
Leader of the Opposition LK Advani, NDA Convener George Fernandes and senior BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and VK Malhotra would be among the alliance leaders calling on the President on Wednesday afternoon, party sources said.
Earlier in the day, Advani had charged the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with "misleading" the President on the state assembly dissolution and demanded his resignation along with that of the Governor.
In his reaction, Fernandes, who is also President of JD (U), had said "for the Government to say they were taken for a ride by the Governor is an acknowledgement of having lost its right to rule the country."
