BIT may tie up with UK university

The University of Bath, United Kingdom, has evinced interest in collaborating with the Birla Institute of Technology, reports Rajesh Roy.

The University of Bath, United Kingdom, has evinced interest in collaborating with the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, for upgrading and modernising the Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) situated at Mesra.

BIT Vice-Chancellor SK Mukherjee said the first part of the documents for the proposed tie-up would be sent from BIT by mid-December and something concrete should come out by February. “The idea behind it is to inculcate the art of entrepreneurship in young engineers,” Mukherjee told HT.
