The party claimed that coaches of Bhiwani-Hissar-Mathura-Jaipur train was painted in saffron with slogans seeking votes, in violation of the model code, a congress spokesman said in a statement in Jaipur.

"Earlier, the BJP used the state roadways buses for canvassing and now a train which is against the poll norms... The EC should intervene and put an immediate end to it," he said.

A national property like railways should not be used by any party for poll propaganda, he added.
