"Teams of Christian missionaries have fanned out in various tribal areas of Nalgonda district and are forcibly converting them (tribals) in to Christianity," BJP state vice president SV Seshagiri Rao told reporters in Hyderabad.

Since there are many festivals between September and November and tribals assemble at one place to celebrate these festivals, the teams are on the prowl in Nalgonda district, which has a big chunk of 'lambada' population, he alleged.

"Though the matter was reported in Gurrampad police station in Nalgonda district no action was initiated," Rao said adding, the religious activity of Christians was intensified in the temple town of Tirupati.
