BJP assesses AAP threat, finds three messages for self

In the first open assessment of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) challenge, senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said latest opinion polls for the Lok Sabha polls held out three important messages.

One, he said, the Congress was being squeezed out of the contest. The second message is that the AAP is making its presence felt. Third, the choice for Narendra Modi as prime minister was miles ahead in his national acceptability.

Jaitley said the challenge before BJP, therefore, was to consolidate its gains. “Its candidates and organisational structure should inspire confidence through its credibility,” he said in his latest Facebook post.
