In a letter to the Election Commission, Sangwan sought an inquiry into complaints about the alleged use of official machinery and deployment of plainclothes policemen by the Director-General of Police (Haryana), MS Malik whose wife Krishna Malik has been fielded by the ruling INLD as its candidate for contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

Talking to mediapersons here, he alleged that the policemen in plainclothes were engaged in door-to-door canvassing for seeking support of the electorate in favour of Malik.

He also alleged that they had spent time at Bhawar and Bichpari villages and assured the voters that the government would provide employment to the educated jobless youth after the elections.
