"It is a litmus test for the BJP and the party should ask Mr Gadkari to step down. If the party does not take such step then it can be assumed that the BJP leaders also invested black money in Mr Gadkari's company," he said in Guna on Thursday.

BJP would have raised a hue and cry, had any Congress leader been involved in 'corruption' like Mr Gadkari, Mr Singh said.

Expressing surprise over social activist Anna Hazare, yoga guru Ramdev Baba and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar remaining tightlipped over Gadkari's issue, the former chief minister said if they are sincere to fight against corruption then they should issue statements against the BJP president.
