Delhi BJP has vowed to strongly oppose both politically and legally any move of the Congress to postpone elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
"In view of its sure defeat in the coming elections to the MCD, the Congress is trying to make many excuses to postpone the elections. Fresh delimitation of Corporation wards is the new anecdote of the Congress," Delhi Pradesh BJP president Harsh Vardhan said on Monday.
The people of Delhi are not going to be misled by the Congress as they have been suffering for the past one-year due to sealing and demolition, Vardhan said.
Vardhan attacked the government over spiralling prices, unreasonable taxes and corruption and said that under the MCD Act the House of MCD should be constituted before April 7 next year.
