Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters here today that his party will raise the issue of illegal mining in Goa, involving crores of rupees, in Parliament to "expose" the "corrupt" Congress Government in the state.

The party will also demand an independent judicial probe into the mining scam in Goa, the former BJP chief said.

Chief minister Digambar Kamat's alleged role in the scam should be probed by an independent agency as he has been holding the mining portfolio for the last 12 years, he said.

Naidu is in Goa to oversee the preparations for BJP leader LK Advani's nationwide anti-graft `Jana Chetana Yatra' which will enter the state on November 1.

Advani is expected to address two public meetings during his stay in Goa, where polls are slated in mid-2012.
