BJP will play a vital role in influencing government formation after the November 20 Assembly polls in Mizoram, party president M Venkiah Naidu claimed on Thursday.

"The BJP is all set to enter Mizoram Assembly for the first time. It will play a vital role in government formation even though it has not yet decided to enter into any understanding with other political parties," he told newsmen at Lengpui airport in Mizoram.

Naidu also said that the Mizoram Assembly poll was a forerunner to the Lok Sabha elections next year and BJP would strive for a non-Congress pro-NDA government in the state and claimed that his party would win in Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Delhi and Rajasthan elections.
