Tripathi started holding constituency-wise meetings here on Tuesday.

Addressing a meeting at Sahu Guest House Kalayani Devi, he called upon the party workers to finalise the list of workers to be deployed at various booths during the poll.

He exhorted the BJP activists to start contacting the electorate on the basis of voters’ list. Tripathi said that the party workers should apprise the people about the failure of the UP Government on all fronts.

He said that they should organise public meetings in every ward highlighting the problems being faced by the residents concerned.

Recalling the achievements of the former BJP Government, he said that during the BJP rule the prices of essential items were never hiked.

Besides, the law and order situation was under control, he added.

He charged the SP-led government with protecting criminals and terrorists. He said that both the SP and the Congress wanted to gain political mileage by giving reservation to minorities. City unit president Ranjit Singh urged the party workers to highlight the SP government’s misrule.
