BMC floats tenders for 2 neighbourhood centres

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration has floated tenders for two neighbourhood centres in the walled city. The centres would be constructed close to busy narrow roads near Moti Masjid. Once completed, it would enable the visitors to park their vehicles before entering in the narrows lanes of Chowk and adjoining areas.
The neighbourhood centre at Purani Sabji Mandi near Moti Masjid would be constructed on 1030 square meter. Similarly, the neighbourhood centre at Purana Bijlighar in Jumerati would be constructed on 929.36 square meter.
Of both these projects, only 20-22 per cent land would be used for constructing provision shops. The remaining land would be kept open for the parking. The BMC officials informed that the demolition of old buildings began at these places so that the land could be cleared for further construction. These schemes are being implemented under the builders promoters scheme.
