THE BHOPAL Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration is likely to get two bungalows at two places in exchange for its bungalows on the Vidhan Sabha campus soon.
According to information, the BMC administration would get two bungalows one at 45 Bungalows area and another at Karbala on the VIP Road. It is learnt that the bungalow number D-28 in 45 Bungalows area would be given to the BMC administration.BMC chairman Ramdayal Prajapati is learnt to have shown interest in this bungalow. This bungalow is lying vacant.
BMC officials informed that the BMC selected bungalow number A-2 in Karbala area. This bungalow would be meant for Mayor Sunil Sood. The BMC officials claimed that the State Government has agreed to provide these bungalows to the BMC on the ownership basis. However, the formalities have yet to be completed.
The dispute over these bungalows erupted some five years back when Vidhan Sabha secretariat raised objections over the issue. However, the then mayor Vibha Patel continued to live in one of these two BMC-owned bungalows. But, the Vidhan Sabha secretariat locked these bungalows in the beginning of year 2005. When asked, Mayor Sunil Sood hoped that other bungalows at 45 bungalows and Karbala would soon be handed over to the BMC administration.
