The examination was conducted at 160 centres. Confusion prevailed about collection of answer books of students, as education officials issued no guideline regarding it. Officials incharge of centres were not sure where to deposit answer books in the rural areas. Finally, answer sheets from 22 examinations centres were deposited at Ganesh Shanker Pandey Inter College at Khajani.

Shortage of invigilators also hit the examination at various centres. Incharge of examination centres informed the control room about it. As the compulsory Hindi examination was scheduled on Saturday, many shortcoming came to the fore.

Sources said flying squads constituted by the DM and the district inspector of schools could reach centres on time due to absence of police personnel.
