The 30-year-old Bobby, silver medal winner at the Busan Asian Games two years ago, failed in all three attempts when the bar was raised to 1.89m and got eliminated from the event.
The Kerala-born athlete was successful in her first attempt at 1.75m and 1.80m, cleared 1.85m on her second before making her exit. She, thus, failed to achieve her personal and national best mark, 1.91m, with which she qualified for the Games at Chennai last month.
Earlier, the eminently forgettable show of Indian sailors Malav Shroff and Sumeet Patel finally came to an end. The duo earned the dubious distinction of finishing a distant 19th in a fleet containing as many boats.
