"The bodies were recovered on Thursday morning from Kharun river and are being taken to Raipur Medical College Hospital for post-mortem," Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur district BS Maravi said.
Six youth of Raipur had gone to Kharun river, on the outskirts of the city for a swim on Wednesday. Five of them were washed away due to the rapid flow of the river, city Superintendent of Police Sashi Mohan Singh informed.
The sixth youth, who survived, informed the police about the incident, following which divers and boats were pressed into service to trace the youth, Singh said.
The youth were in the age group of 18-21 years, Singh said.
