Body of another boy found
BODY OF a 13-year-old boy with head injuries was found under mysterious circumstances near the Hahnemann crossing in Gomti Nagar on Tuesday. Though cops claimed the boy met with an accident and succumbed to injuries on the road, there was no eyewitness to corroborate the theory.

In a late night development the boy was identified as Swatantra Shukla of 2/363, Vinamra Khand, Gomti Nagar. mystery. Security guard Kalicharan informed the police around 3.30 pm after he spotted body of a boy lying near the crossing at Apna Bazar shopping complex at Vishesh Khand. Cops rushed to the scene to find injuries on head and bruises on boy’s arms and legs.
The boy was wearing trouser and shirt and there were spots of lime all over his clothes. His smeared hands indicated that he was whitewashing somewhere. A bicycle key was found on his person. CO Gomti Nagar Vipin Chandra said the police was informed about the injured boy being carried by some persons on a rickshaw who left the boy on roadside and vanished. Later, the boy was found dead.
Chandra further claimed that the boy was hit by a motorcycle near a railway crossing and suffered injuries. Some people took the initiative to provide the boy with medical aid but for fear of legal formalities they must have left the body on the road, claimed Chandra.
Meanwhile, the decomposed body of a 25-year-old unidentified youth was found floating in river Gomti near Hanuman Setu in Hazratganj on Tuesday evening. A traffic constable Sangram Singh informed the local police. The youth was wearing jeans, shirt and sweater.
