BOI branch looted in Jharkhand

Rs 1.5 lakh was looted from the Raidih branch of Bank of India by some unidentified gunmen in Jharkhand.

Rs 1.5 lakh was on Wednesday looted from the branch of a nationalised bank by some unidentified gunmen in Jharkhand.

The police said two persons coming in a motorbike threatened the staff of Raidih branch of Bank of India with a gun, asking to show the cash counter.

They stuffed cash in a bag and also snatched money from two customers who came to deposit cash in the bank, the sources added.

The police have launched raids to arrest the culprits.

This was the second incident of bank loot in two months in the district.
