Bomb found in Patna-bound train near Gaya

Though the bomb had a timer device, no time was set.

A bomb with a timer device was found inside the toilet of a sleeper coach of Dhanbad-Patna Ganga Damodar Express on Thursday, Superintendent of Railway Police GP Sinha said.

He said that some passengers and attendants noticed an abandoned gunny bag containing the bomb in the toilet when the train had left Gaya in the wee hours.

They alerted the GRP who, on arrival of the train at Patna, recovered the bomb and handed it over to the bomb disposal squad. No time was set for the bomb.
