Bomb hoax delays Allepey-Chennai Express

An anonymous call threatening that a bomb had been placed in Allepey-Chennai Express delayed its departure.

An anonymous call threatening that a bomb had been placed in Allepey-Chennai Express delayed the departure of the train for about 30 minutes on Saturday, Railway police said.

A thorough search carried out by the police and Railway Protection Force with the dog squad and bomb squad proved the threat was hoax and the train scheduled to leave the station at 4.00 pm left at 4.30 pm, the sources said.
