Bomb scare creates chaos in Bengal court

A thorough search was conducted at the Baruipur court by the Bomb Disposal Squad after a call informed of a bomb.

A bomb scare stalled proceedings at a court in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district on Monday and an abandoned suitcase at Bally railway station in Howrah district created panic.

A thorough search was conducted at the Baruipur court by the Bomb Disposal Squad after a person called up to say that a bomb had been planted, police sources said.

Nothing, however, was found.

At the Bally railway station, an abandoned suitcase created a scare. Bomb Squad personnel found clothes in the suitcase, the police said.
