The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet today decided to provide the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission to employees of the Noida and Greater Noida Development Authority, with effect from January 1, 2006.

Nearly 5000 employees stand to benefit from this decision.

However, these two development authorities would have to bear the financial burden for the same themselves.

A cabinet meeting chaired by Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati on Friday said pay fixation and other perks would be settled as per the

recommendations of the SAT Rizvi Committee, which was constituted by the state government in 2008 for the implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission report.
