A SPIRIT of bonhomie and comradeship prevailed at the Sudarshan Chakra Corps as the old and the young, the serving and the retired got together for the reunion of the Corps Commanders that concluded today.

A special ghazal evening was organised on Friday evening for the guests. On Saturday morning, at a wreath-laying ceremony led by the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Lt Gen K M Seth, other former corps commanders and officers and men of the Sudarshan Chakra Corps paid homage to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Corps Commander Lt Gen H S Panag, AVSM, welcomed all the former corps commanders and gave details of the various projects being undertaken by the corps.

He then invited the guests to share their thoughts and experiences. The speakers reminisced, shared benefit information, updates on retirement benefits, personal information and emphasised on the issues related to the veterans. The moment was largely about recalling and sharing the good old days while serving the country.

The reunions also provided excellent opportunity to the young and old soldiers to share their views and experiences. They reinforce the special bond that develops among military veterans, especially those who served together.
