Not 12-year-old Bonny Jain from Illinois. Bonny breezed through 26 questions of the type to win the $25,000 top prize in the National Geographic Bee, the popular US quiz competition for middle school children.

Nearly five million kids from across the US participated in a series of elimination rounds before the finals in Washington on Wednesday.

They were followed by Suneil K Iyer and Krishnan V Chandra.
