Book on water traditions selected for Medini Award

Bin Pan Sab Soon

has been selected for the "Medini Award" instituted by Uniom Ministry of Forests and Environment.

The book published by Madhya Pradesh Hindi Akademi, is a narrative on the water traditions in the country with a special focus on Madhya Pradesh, a release said here today.

The award, carrying a cash award of Rs 10,000 and a citation, will be conferred at a function in New Delhi on June five, the World Environment Day.

Recipient of the Makhan Lal Chaturvedi Journalism Award and the Rajendra Mathur Fellowship for Journalism, Pateria has authored over a dozen books.

At present, he is Bureau Chief of Lokmat Group in Madhya Pradesh.

The Medini Award offers recognition for books written in Indian languages on environment issues.
