According to the MG Road police, Lokesh Mathe, son of a trader of Sudama Nagar, went missing two days back. His bicycle was recovered near the shop of his father in Tilak Nagar area.

After searching for him everywhere, the parents of the boy filed a complaint with the police The Jammu police found the boy when he was going towards Katra probably for visiting the shrine of Viashnodevi.

As the youth was ill clad to face the severe cold in the region after the recent snowfall and was travelling unaccompanied in a disturbed state, he was questioned by the security personnel.

After strict questioning he conceded that he had run away from home. Sources say that he was not performing well in his studies and used to remain disturbed. A police constable from the MG Road police station has accompanied the parents of the youth to Jammu.

Although no statistics were available with the police department insiders agreed that such incidents were not uncommon. Psychologists of the City say that the rising stress in life has effected everyone specially the youth who are always under pressure to perform and who run after materialistic pursuits wanting to earn everything in a short time.

The onus for detecting such disturbed behaviour lies with parents and school.
