Brad Williams was regarded as the fastest bowlers in Australian domestic competitions before Brett Lee stepped into the arena.

After a long wait of nine years, Williams was finally handed over the Baggy Green cap in the home series against Zimbabwe in 2003. He took two wickets in each innings on a much flatter pitch than that of his home track in Perth.

He has amassed 34 wickets in 24 matches in one-day cricket and has 9 wickets in just 4 Tests.

Although he is very dangerous with the new ball in his hand, Williams is less threatning in his later spells.

Williams has made his place in the Australian squad and has definitely added value to the best team in the world in a short span of time of his International career.
