BSP MP Kailash Nath Singh Yadav who was the chief guest of the function, said that the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) did nothing for the welfare of the minority community. He said that the laws which were being framed in Parliament were against farmers, backwards and Muslims and urged the members of the minority community to extend their support to the BSP.

BSP MP discussed the message of all the religions and called upon the minority community to join the party. He said that the ideology of Baba Sahed Ambedkar to ensure equal status to each section of the society was being ignored and that was why there was so much misunderstanding among different sections of the society. He said that BSP chief Mayawati was fighting for the cause of the poor, downtrodden and Muslims.

It was observed that if the minority community had extended its support to the BSP in last assembly election of Uttar Pradesh, the political equations of the State would have been quite different. It was also observed that farmers, backwards and members of minority community were being deprived of from their rights by both Union and State Government.

Sardar of Bukar Panchayat, Maqbool Hasan presided over the function. Hasan said that the Panchayat had decided to extend its support to the party which was willing to fight for the cause of weavers. He said that poor weavers were in a deplorable condition as the government was extending financial support to Weavers Societies alone.

Hasan said that both the Congress and the SP were little worried about the poor weavers. He claimed that there were two lakh weavers at Bunkar Panchayat, and they would not favour either the Congress or the SP in the forthcoming assembly election. BSP leader S Javed Ahmad said that the ruling party was confident that Muslims would never part with them but now the situation was different and Muslims were acquainted with the politics of vote bank.

BSP district general secretary Jagdish Gupta dwelt upon the theme of the convention. On the occasion, a number of Muslims took the primary membership of the BSP.
