As many as 108 Vedic Brahmins performed the grand ‘Buddhi-Shuddhi Yajna’ with Vedic rituals at Town Hall ground in Maidagin area here on Sunday morning.
A large number of Sri Kashi Yuva Vidwat Parishad members and local people participated in the Yajna.

The Parishad members demanded from the Union Government and authorities of the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to remove the wrong information that Aryans and Brahmins used to eat cow flesh, from their textbooks or they would launch a massive nation-wide protest agitation.

President of Parishad, Vedacharya Pt. Rajkrishna Malviya also criticised NCERT over the issue. General secretary of Parishad and Acharya of Annapurna Mutt Mandir, Dr. Ram Narayan Dwivedi also criticised the policies of the Union government and said that such baseless information was a part of well-planned conspiracy to mislead the future generation of the country.
