The move will help keep a tab on illegal and haphazard structures, both residential and commercial, in rural pockets within the city.

Officials say buildings in urban villages as well as land in vast sprawls of Noida, Greater Noida and along the Yamuna Expressway need to be brought under the ambit of specific bylaws to check unplanned and unsafe development.
