Petitioner's advocate Y P Singh, a former IPS officer, argued because of faulty jackets, former ATS chief Hemant Karkare died during the 26/11 terror attacks.

Singh said postmortem report reveals that Karkare was shot in the shoulder area, which wasn't covered by the jacket he was wearing. The division bench headed by Justice J N Patel directed the government to file a reply before January 14.
