STATE AGRICULTURE Minister and Minister in-charge of Kanpur, Dr Ashok Bajpai, said the State government had provided enough exemption in the new industrial policy to boost the industrial sector. Talking to newspersons here, Bajpai cited the examples of the rebate in registration fee land bought for industrial use and Mandi Tax for agriculture based industries. Bajpai said as most of the taxes were levelled by the Central government, the role of the State government was limited. However, he said as the State was being supplied enough electricity to meet industrial requirements, efforts were on to ensure 24-hour electricity supply to the industrial area.
