Raj Bhawan sources said the swearing-in ceremony would be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan on Thursday at 12:30 hrs.

The Governor would administer the oath of office and secrecy to the Council of Ministers headed by Nitish Kumar.

State BJP Chief Sushil Kumar Modi and 10 other ministers would also be sworn in.

Earlier, a joint meeting of the JD-U and BJP Legislature parties unanimously elected Nitish as the NDA leader.

The installation of a popular Government on Thursday would mark the end of an eight-month spell of President's rule, which was imposed on March 7, 2005 following a fractured mandate in the 13th Assembly polls.
