Cabinet to table Pathak report, ATR in Parliament

Union Cabinet on Monday decided to table the Action Taken Report along with with the findings of the Justice Pathak Authority, indicting former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh and his son Jagat in the Iraqi Oil-for-Food scam, at 12 pm in Parliament.

This was announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister PR Dasmunshi after a 45-minute Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Justice Pathak had submitted his report to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday evening, the contents of which were allegedly leaked to the media. The opposition and Left parties have demanded an investigation into the alleged leakage.

Natwar and other opposition parties have served notice against the Prime Minister for breach of privilege over the incident.
